Canapes Salad is a delicious layered pea salad. This classic picnic recipe has been around for generations. It is delicious, fresh and above all cold, perfect for summer! This recipe is colorful, crunchy and creamy. This is the perfect recipe for any warm weather gathering.
ingredients:
1 head of lettuce, washed and cut into small pieces
4 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
2 large tomatoes, chopped
1 12 oz package frozen peas, thawed
6 to 8 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 cup finely chopped red onion
Parsley for optional garnish
Pour in the vinegar:
½ 1 cup mayonnaise
½ cup of cream of course
1 teaspoon of dried parsley
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon of salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper

In a small bowl, arrange the salad in the order listed, starting with the chopped lettuce.
